Base of Operations in Belize. The San Pedro Holiday Hotel

The San Pedro Holiday Hotel will be our headquarters in Belize.

We have five rooms at the San Pedro Holiday hotel where we will coordinate our adventures onto the reef, into the steamy jungles, ruins and caves. There are a few open air bars in the area that we might visit in the evenings.

Our air conditioned beachfront rooms have a great view of the famous Belize Barrier Reef, which is a quarter mile from our doorsteps.

The colonial style San Pedro Holiday Hotel is the first hotel ever built on the island. It is a full service resort in the heart of San Pedro, built and owned by Celi McCorkle, an island native. The hotel sits at the intersection of most happening things on the island. The hotel was built on a foundation of crushed conch shells. How cool is that?

Along with the nine very brave members of the expedition who are riding to San Pedro through the dangerous jungles of Central America are eight not so brave members of the ground support crew who are flying, busing and boating to the island. The leader of the support team is Candace. Candace's mission is to locate and purchase a permanent sight for future Belize mission headquarters. The other members of the support team are really there for only one reason and that is to have fun and buy the drinks for the brave cyclists.
